The recent article over at designboom reminded me of my fondness for these paper lanterns, also referred to as sky lanterns - and the sheer beauty and magic of seeing thousands of these floating in the sky.
The article is about a festival held in Poznan, Poland to celebrate the summer solstice, and what better way to celebrate than releasing a world record 15 000 paper lanterns.
The night could not have been anything other than magical. Watch the video (full screen) that captured the beauty of the event, and also the people's reactions - love it!
